On 20 October, Rector of the University of Tartu, Toomas Asser, recognised the Solaride team, which had recently achieved second place in the world championships in Australia.
The University of Tartu three-minute thesis competition offers everyone the opportunity to learn in simple language how the research of current doctoral researchers contributes to making the world a better place to live in the future. The competition will be held on Wednesday, 22 October at 10:00 in the conference hall of the University of Tartu Library.
On Wednesday, 24 September, between 11:45-16:00, the University of Tartu Student Union is offering all students a free lunch at Tõllakuur – the much-loved and well-known instant noodles popular among students.
From 12 June to 21 September, all University of Tartu staff and students and everyone else are welcome to complete the orienteering course “Exploring Tartu along Struve Geodetic Arc”.
From 19 May to 6 June, the university library will once again be open for studying until midnight. In addition to extended opening hours, a range of activities will take place during the Night Library period.
Most of the events taking place during the Tartu Student Days Spring Festival from 25 April to 3 May are organised by student organisations from Tartu’s higher education institutions.
