The new art exhibition by Bellis Kullman, titled  „Nordic Late Summer“, will be opened at the ground floor gallery  of the Omicum building Riia 23b/2, Institute of Genomics, University of Tartu, on Friday, 1 March at 15:30.

Bellis Kullman finished Tartu’s Secondary School No 5 (today Tartu Tamme Gymnasium) in 1965. In her studies at the Department of Genetics of the University of Tartu under the supervision of Assoc. Later Bellis worked as mycologist and her main research item was genomic studies of several species of fungi („Fungal Genome Size Database“).

The present overview is her first personal exhibition painted on canvas with acrylic paint in years 2016-2018, representing Nordic views to Lapland, Åland Islands, Lake Peipsi, Haeska and Rannu.

The exhibition will remain open until May 10.

The exposition was supported by the Institute of Genomics and the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology, University of Tartu.

Everybody is welcome to attend the opening and the exhibition!
