From March 10th to 21st, 2025, the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology will once again host the Genetics Workshops. Over the course of eight full days, 240 high school students from across Estonia will come to Tartu to conduct experiments. In total, students and teachers from 11 schools will take part in the event.
Each 10th–12th grade student will have the opportunity to choose from three engaging workshops: solving a case related to the HIV receptor, forensic science, or joining the green technology workshop to detect the presence of archaea capable of degrading biodegradable plastic bags in environmental samples.
The study days are organized by the University of Tartu Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in collaboration with the Education Working Group of the Biosciences Students' Association.
