Maret Suurmets Kuura is a graduate of the University of Tartu, majoring in painting and with a Master's degree in art education. She loves to paint with strong, bright and vivid colours. As an artist, she likes to see the interrelationship, interaction and play of colours.
It is amazing, how the colours in the painting start to tell their own story and create new and dynamic compositions. The richness and vigour of the colours gives a new charge. It is the colours that speak, make you listen and think. Colours can make us sad, but they can also give us positive energy.
She has participated in many joint exhibitions and organized more than 30 personal exhibitions since 2000. In 2006 Maret Suurmets Kuura joined the Tartu Artists' Union and the Estonian Painters' Union in 2009.
The exhibition is open from February 29 until March 31, 2024.
