From March 10th to 21st, 2025, the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology will once again host the Genetics Study Days. Over the course of eight full days, 240 high school students from across Estonia will come to Tartu to conduct experiments. In total, students and teachers from 11 schools will take part in the event.

The collection was initiated in 2018 when the research project "101 yeast strains from Estonian nature" took place. The project was carried out in collaboration with research teams led by Prof. Arnold Kristjuhan and Prof. Tiina Tamm.

During the IMCB Scientists' Night, you can visit Omicum's laboratories and discover invisible biology in workshops.

On September 27, a family day took place at the University of Tartu Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology as part of Researchers' Night.

On March 27th, the 10th anniversary of the science popularization project Mobile Bioclass was celebrated by the Molecular and Cell Biology Institute and the Biotechnology Students' Association.

On September 29, 2023, a family day and a Researchers’ Night was celebrated in our institute for the second time. The event brought together a hundred of science enthusiasts, mostly school students as the primary target audience.
