The Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology houses several scientific collections, which form a part of Estonia's scientific heritage. The acquisition and establishment of these collections are the result of intergenerational efforts, often spanning decades, and they hold invaluable and lasting significance for both education and research.

Researchers from the Chair of Genetics at the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology have launched a new two-year project titled “Biological Plant Protection Product,” funded by the European Union Structural Funds through the circular economy programme, with support from the Centre for Environmental Investments.
