Tartu Ülikooli molekulaar- ja rakubioloogia instituut (MRI) ning genoomika instituut (GI) korraldavad aastakonverentsi, kus võetakse kokku lõppenud aasta olulisemad teadustööd. Konverents toimub 15.–16. jaanuaril Riia 23b/2 auditooriumis 105 inglise keeles.
Konverentsi keskmes on kahe instituudi doktorantide ja tegevteadlaste teesid. Konverentsi programmikomitee valib nende hulgast välja need, kes teevad suulised ettekanded. Parimatele esinejatele ja stendiettekannete autoritele, kelle valib välja mõlema instituudi teadlastest koosnev žürii, on välja pandud auhinnad. Kõik laekunud teesid avaldatakse aastakonverentsi kogumikus TÜMRI kodulehel parooliga kaitstult.
Päeva juhatavad sisse instituutide direktorid Maia Kivisaar (MRI) ja Mait Metspalu (GI). Lisaks MRI ja GI teadlastele astuvad konverentsil üles välised külalisesinejad: TÜ keemia instituudist analüütilise keemia kaasprofessor Ester Oras, TÜ ühiskonnateaduste instituudist ajakirjandusuuringute kaasprofessor Marju Himma ja TÜ matemaatika ja statistika instituudist matemaatilise statistika kaasprofessor Märt Möls.
NB! Tegemist on avaliku üritusega, mida pildistatakse. Fotosid võidakse kasutada tulevaste sündmuste reklaamimise eesmärgil. Kõigil, kes ei soovi fotodele jääda, palume istuda saali viimasesse ritta. Postersessiooni ja kohvipausi ajal palume sel juhul mitte viibida aatriumi alas.
